Friendship Missionary Baptist ChurchCOVID-19 Update

2023 was incredibly good year for Friendship. We have not had a COVID-19 outbreak at Friendship since reopening church service the first week of August 2021, we have discontinued attendance tracking during church services and meetings, and we have discontinued wearing masks for all services.  We are doing well keeping the congregation healthy.

As a result, our preventative measures for 2024 have had some changes.

For indoor events like our Church services and meetings, the Federal Center for Disease Control, the CDC, the California Department of Public Health, and the San Bernardino Department of Public Health all continue to strongly recommend vaccinations and boosters, hand washing and sanitizers, and wearing masks if you are ill.

For Friendship, the recommendations for 2024 are as follows:

  1. If you feel sick, any sickness, stay at home; colds and the flu can also still be spread within the congregation.
  2. So that we continue to protect our congregation, please notify the church office via email or phone if you or someone in your household tests COVID positive even if they have no symptoms.
  3. Wearing a mask is recommended if you feel ill or want to protect your health.
  4. Wash hands often or use hand sanitizer until you can wash your hands.

As another year comes to an end, we enter the New Year with prayers for a healthy and blessed 2024.

Keep The Faith
God has continued to bless us all in so many ways. We thank each of you for prayers, phone calls, and your faithful gift contributions to the ministry. A special thank you to the angels who have gone out of your way to contact and encourage those who do not have physical and/or social support. And lastly, let us continue to be vigilant in prayer for one another and for those suffering around us.  Let us continue to “Give God the Glory.”
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Larry A. Thomas, Pastor/CEO
