Vision of the Pastor

Pastor Thomas is driven by the word of God as stated in Proverbs 29:18

“Where there is no vision, the people perish”

The vision of Pastor Thomas is to realize the necessity of a vision to prevent the downfall of God’s people and ministries. Pastor Thomas, therefore, believes the church will not perish if effective leaders are developed and nurtured. The people will not perish if they are equipped spiritually, emotionally and physically to confront the concerns of the world. Our mission can be accomplished when we are spiritually sound, when we are capable of utilizing the technology of today and when we are able to build an Ecclesiastical Government which adheres to the principles of God’s Word. Pastor Thomas’ vision is that Friendship Missionary Baptist Church will continue to be a vibrant, effective ministry to its members and to the community, abounding in spiritual growth daily with enhanced ministries, and serving the needs of the community and the congregation. Pastor Thomas envisions the day when Friendship will, as part of its every day ministry, seek the salvation of lost souls, fortify the faith of all believers, exemplifying the epitome of unity as should be shown forth by all saints. A fulfilled vision would include feeding those who are hungry, clothing those who are naked, visiting those who are sick and ministering to those who are incarcerated.
