  • July 5 – The Joy Arising From Our Hope (I Peter 4:1-2, 12-19)

In the face of suffering, think like Christ. (4:1-2)

In the face of suffering, rejoice in Christ. (4:12-14)

In the face of suffering, give glory to God. (4:15-19)

The Point: Suffering for Christ can deepen our walk with Him.

  • July 12 – The Culmination of our Hope (I Peter 5:5b-11)

When we humble ourselves, God exalts us. (5:5b-7)

When we resist Satan, we can remain firm in the midst of suffering. (5:8-9)

After we suffer for a little while, God will restore us to His eternal glory. (5:10-11)

The Point: What we hope for in Christ will one day be fully attained.

Theme: How Should I Respond to Politics?

  • July 19 – How Should I Respond to Politics? (Romans 13:1-10)

Respond to the Government with obedience. (13:1-4)

Respond to the Government with Integrity, Respect and Honor. (13:5-7)

Respond to Political Discussions and Disagreements with Love. (13:8-10)

The Point: Reflect Christ in how you interact with politics and government.

Theme: Why Do I Need the Church?

  • July 26 – We Are Joined Together (Ephesians 1:20-23, 2:8-10, 19-22)

Christ is the head of the body, the church. (1:2-23)

Christ brought us into His church by His grace.  (2:8-10)

We are members together in God’s household, Christ’s church. (2:19-22)

The Point: When we come to Christ, we also become part of the body of Christ.
